Saturday is a special day...but it's always so dang busy!

So yesterday was pretty much a typical Saturday. For those of you with kids and callings and work (which is pretty much everyone we know), you can totally relate. After Skyping grandma and grandpa to start the morning, we went to a nearby YMCA for a big festival they hold every spring. Myoffice had a booth there, so I had to at least stop in and say hello. It was a great event - literally thousandsof people in attendance. And the best part of it all - it was all free (well, except for the $1 popcorn we bought that was free just a few booths down...but I digress). The girls enjoyed the music, snacks, prizes, the new playground (huge) and the multiple inflatible objects, as you can see:
Fortunately Halle had leggins on... :)
Meagan went ape on the slides!Sadly, there was a down side. The girls all fell off the same ride and met the same fate. What are the chances?

OK, kidding! A local orthopedic group gave all the kids a "cast" so they could see what having a broken arm was like. Kind of a cool idea we thought. Trying now to figure out how I can work something like that out for braces...

This on is great. Between trips to pick up tomatoes and squash and zucchini etctoplant in the garden, the girls noticed a package from G'ma Mac on the front porch. Open it up and voila, the summer season had begun! Barker's beauties have nothing on ours! Then in the evening, Heather and I went to the tri-stake priest/laurel prom. Kind of fun...great dinner courtesy of the bishop's family. The prom part was like a regular church dance (well, a bt fancier), but nice because people didn't have to take a date. Should give some thought to adopting that in SLC... savea couple bucks! It's fun to hang out with the youth in the ward, thought - between Heather in young women's and me teaching seminary, we sort of thought they'd besick of us by now! Great group of kids, though.

And in between that all today, there was laundry, a huge birthday cake made, pruning, planning YW and Sunday school lessons, etc...just another typical Saturday!
