Visitin' the Jones's

We had the chance to go and visit Jason & Jessica Jones and their kids Isabel and Cannon (we were a month too early to meet #3) in Greenville, SC a few weekends ago. It was a fun couple of days, for both the adults and the kids!

The kids woke up our first morning there before 7am (after all sleeping in the same room and keeping each other up until 9 or 10pm the night before), and were outside on the trampoline in their swimming suits with the hose on by 8am... It couldn't have been above 55 degrees or so and all of them had blue lips and cold limbs within 10 minutes of going out. But none of them wanted to come in. :)

We did go into downtown Greenville one afternoon to visit the park in the city center. I was very impressed...very walkable, friendly, open and well-constructed. There is even a nice focal point of a waterfall in the river with a bridge spanning it (see the first photo of the post). The kids found this tree to hang out on.

Here's the bridge...hard to get an accurate perspective, but at some points it is 40-50 feet above the river below.

There were also lots of areas to watch ducks (where the kids thought they could catch them).

I love this shot of Meagan and Heather...don't know what Meagan is thinking, but it makes you smile.
