We took a trip over the long holiday weekend to meet up with the Simpsons in Asheville, NC. It was a great time...our kids and their are really more like siblings or cousins, and they wasted no time getting into trouble with each other. :)

But someone had the easy life as far as the hikes went...and he knew it!
We spent a couple days hiking along the Blue Ridge Parkway and exploring Asheville
We also spent the better part of Monday at DuPont State Forest, and the falls and river there. Below is Triple Falls, but the girls really loved the pool below the lowest falls where they could try to catch fish with their hands and ride a natural little rapids.
It was a blast. We wish Cletus and Alice lived closer!
