Weekend trip to Kentucky

The last weekend of September we drove to just outside of Louisville, Kentucky to visit our good friends from dental school and orthodontic residency at U.N.C. We haven't seen them since they moved from Chapel Hill in 2008.

We stopped to get a picture in front of the Louisville Temple before we arrived at the Bednar's house. They live about 15 min. from the temple. How nice!

On Saturday morning we all woke up early to head into Louisville for the annual Heart Walk. Their family has made a tradition of this since Francine had her heart attack in 2008. I thought this was such a cute photo of each of our two oldest girls. Left to right: Whitney (9), Madelin (9), Ashley (7), Halle (7).

After the Heart Walk, we all headed to a great children's science museum for a few hours. Here's Francine and Eric sporting their red attire from the walk. :)

Meagan (4), Andrew (3), and Katherine (5) "constructing" at the museum.

Madelin, Whitney, and Halle playing at the water station.

They had some great dress ups at the museum. Here is Meagan the astronaut standing in a space shuttle.

Kimball and Dad hanging out. Kimball adores his dad!
Saturday evening the guys enjoyed watching football while Francine and I went to watch the General Relief Society broadcast at their church. It was fun to be able to go with her.

Madelin and Whitney wanted to match as much as possible for church on Sunday. It's hard to believe they first met each other as infants and now they're both over 9 years old! Boy does time fly!
Thanks Bednars, for a fun weekend!
